Burger Bar Chicago – Hot & Smokey

Burger Bar Chicago caught my attention with their Instagram posts. Their feed is filled with shakes, burgers, and beer. Seriously, what’s not to love?

This fine burger serving establishment offers two options when ordering. Option number one, grab one of their pre-established works of art (aka Stackers). From the Firehouse to the Wild Bill, or the Get In My Belly, these all look amazing. Want something more custom? Step up to the Burger Bar. With this option, you choose the type of meat, your favorite cheeses, and a multitude of toppings. It’s truly a burger made your way.

For this review, I wanted to try one of the Stackers and thus went with the Hot & Smokey. Let’s start with the meat. The beef was cooked medium (just a hint of red) and was about as juicy as it could get. They then topped that with smoked pulled pork. Wow. Finally, there were pieces of sausage mixed throughout the pulled pork. Top this with BBQ sauce, smoked Tillamook Cheddar, and a Habanero BBQ Glaze. You might have just realized you are now standing up. Your stomach is trying to tell you to head over to Burger Bar Chicago and order the Hot & Smokey.

Overall, Burger Bar Chicago mixes my two favorite things and does it well. Burgers and beer go together like, well, burgers and beer. I can assure you I will be back to try more of their burgers and I highly recommend you do as well.

Side note: Make sure you get the sweet potato fries. They are amazing.
